Often an administrator / buyer is tasked with the role of purchasing but doesn’t have the skills to negotiate higher value / strategic contracts for the organisation.
Graham Crawshaw has worked in purchasing throughout his career both in UK and the US.
He is former Senior Director Global Purchasing for EMI Music. Key achievements:-
- Internal consultant working with territories across the world. Negotiator for global agreements and local contracts. Annual addressable spend £800m+.
- Achieved 10%+ saving on a global $10m IT hardware contract. Modified print purchasing process from analogue to digital for EMI’s Japanese factory saving £5m annually.
- £1m + savings achieved negotiating items for new £17m new HQ.
- Conducted Purchasing audits in Scandinavia, Japan and Germany. Identified efficiency improvements valued £700k+ per country.
- Implemented regional Consumer Relationship Management (CRM) contracts structuring deals to save £400k+.
- Identified and implemented consolidated contract for multi-territory digital streaming of music taking £600k out of the £2m spend budget.
- Launched the implementation of HSBC Purchasing credit cards. Programme set to eliminate processing of 20,000 low value invoices.
More recently he has been working with a Packaging Company based in Dover and a Security / Guarding company based in London.
Graham is Chairman and Company Secretary of One Step Joinery Ltd. He is 50% Owner of this joinery manufacturing company based in Swindon.
